This is a tough one to put into words and the success of the project – as with most salvage projects – is incredibly reliant on your access to the appropriate recycled components, but let’s give it a shot anyway:.

For our DIY baby gate we used the 2 long identical sides from an old disassembled crib.pretty entertaining, if I do say so myself.

So I wrote to them to tell them that I was fine to go ahead with the no photos thing, and maybe if we could just do a few sparse illustrations here and there as visual cues for flipping, that would be perfect.And then I didn’t hear from them for three weeks, so I just assumed that was what we would do..

So, I was kind of enjoying all of the quietness on the book-front and getting back into thinking about focusing all of my efforts on my blog again, kind of stressing over that crazy title, kind of stressing over whether or not they were going to make me re-write the whole book, and just not thinking about the photo issue at all.But mostly just trying to enjoy the quiet.
